This out and back loop begins and ends from Lohs Track at the end of Lohs Lane. Follow the Blackwood Ranges Track to get onto the Ah Kow Track. The trail itself is not well maintained or sign posted so it's best to follow the GPS for this route. WebThe Walk in Detail Walk back to Mt Blackwood Road, turn right (north) and walk for approximately 0.5km to the track leading to Mt Blackwood, now part of the Great Dividing Trail. Walk up this (east) to the highest point but not entering the compound which has restricted access. Good views are available here. WebAt that point the GDT branched off along the Blackwood Ranges Track, which descends pretty steeply towards Swan Road. The walk along Swan Road, takes you outside Lerdederg State Park but remains very scenic, with views over countryside toward Melbourne in the distance. A lovely part of our walk, minus the quarry view.
